How is the fibre deployed?
The fibre pit and pipe network is trenching in at a depth of 300-400mm. Should we need to cross a property boundary, we are careful not to leave a mess. We are also bound by the Australian Telecommunications Act to leave a property in the same or better condition as it was when deploying infrastructure.
Why fibre and not satellite?
Fibre is, without question, the best medium for data transmission. The below points are just some of the strengths of fibre-optic data cable.
- Not subject to weather conditions – fog, blizzards, heavy rain, hail, gale-force winds etc
- Unlike radio/satellite dishes, it is not mounted on rooftops and not subject to snowshed which would lead to damage of the building and cause danger
- Will not cause roof leaks as no equipment is mounted on a rooftop
- Capable of TV delivery
- Lowest latency
- Highest reliability
- Higher upload speeds
What data limitations are there?
None. All our plans are unlimited.
